If hutch devoted so much of lise life to INXS then how come INXS were dismissed in the book almost completely and they picked on rhett and kell to whom couldnt respond to the lies they said about them. To me the book was a whole lot of grand standing from tina and patricia and alot of exaggerations and lies. Maybe the other books werent as accurate in details but do you really think hutch would of approved of his mum and sis writying such a book that dealt so badly to his bro and father. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patrice Payne" To: Sent: Saturday, May 03, 2003 7:00 AM Subject: Re: INXS: I Get Up > what was your opinions on the other subjects. > I enjoy this book "Just A Man" better that the other > two i read > Patrice > --- CanneDo2@aol.com wrote: > > Hi All, > > So nice to see some activity on our list. But I did say that I didn't take anything they said as gospel. I also missed where they bad-mouthed Rhett. But I still say that I totally enjoyed the book. It was fun reading and enjoyable if a little exagerrated. I always remember there being upwards of 10 messages a day. What's happened ? It's so unbelievably quite on here. Been lurking for a short while, but I could not hold myself back from posting this. Whilst browsing Kerrang magazine today in the newsagent, there was an article about rock singers who have done unthinkable duets. Well, allegedly Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) recorded a duet with Britney Spears whilst they were going out together of INXS' Need You Tonight (?!) Not being a reader of the showbiz columns and who's doing who, is this old news or something that's just come to light ? I would like to add at this stage that the source of this information WAS NOT the Iraqi Information Minister (better known as Comical Ali). My understanding is that they *don't* need permission. They'll have to pay them something, but it can still be recorded w/o the bad agreeing to it. You only have to have their permission if you plan to use the band's version (meaning them on vocals and instruments, like for an ad). I was watching Jewel this AM om one of the morning news programs and she played her new song "intuition" and I was reminded of INXS with the danceable tune, political comment and sexy groove. I also turned on Katey Couric a few days ago when Ricky Martin was on promoting his new album. Katey and co. seemed rude and so underwhelmed it reminded me of how the press treated INXS and especially Michael. Did anyone else see this?
