A DVD of the Live Aid performances is slated to come out in November. If I recall correctly, INXS performed a song or two from Australia during Live Aid....they're not on the track listing. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. http://www.undercover.com.au/news/2004/aug04/20040805_liveaid.html Love & Peace - Rosemarie From: Pedro Queiros [mailto:Elegantlywasted_Pedro@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, August 05, 2004 5:11 PM To: inxs@topica.com Subject: Re: INXS: Live Aid DVD Hi, I heard they are releasing the performances from Wembley stadium, the INXS performance was in Sydney...only projected on the screens, so it's probably why they aren't there. He was asked what were his best tours/albums etc. This is what he said: Playing live was always my most enjoyable aspect of the band. We played with, and met, so many great people over the ten years. Tour wise i really have fond memories of the INXS tour. That's when we really only put our 'toe' into pop star waters. Even though INXS' popularity was waining, they were still a class act and Michael was the epitome of the 'rock-star' For those interested the rest of the email interview, it can be found at: http://www.lewisslade.com/DaveHawes Sue From: Deirdre [mailto:deirdreanne@yahoo.com] Sent: Sunday, August 29, 2004 9:03 PM To: INXS List Subject: INXS: Hoping someone knows something OK, I have a serious headache from thinking about this. It may be old news, but I've been a little out of it lately. Can someone please explain the INXS/Rusty Wallis/RW Entertainment/A&R Australia connection? Oh, and how exactly does Rhino fit into this equation? Thanks, Deirdre PS. Neil Kothari--if you're lurking, can you please e-mail me privately? Can someone please > explain the INXS/Rusty Wallis/RW Entertainment/A&R Australia > connection? Oh, and how exactly does Rhino fit into this equation? > > Thanks, > Deirdre OK, what I've found is this: We all know who INXS is :-) RW Media Entertainment commenced operation in 1996 after identifying niche opportunities in the makertplace [sic]. Founder Rusty Wallis, has a career spanning over 25 years in the music and media industries is recognised as a respected industry professional in all aspects of the music industry (http://www.musicinmedia.com/mim_Us.php) This seems to be a subsidiary of musicinmedia.com, of which A&R Australia is also a part. A&R Australia represents the individual songwriting of Andrew, Jon and Tim Farriss, Garry Beers and Kirk Pengilly members of the internationally known Australian Rock band, INXS. (taken from http://www.a-r.com.au) From their "services" page, it appears that they're willing to write commissioned pieces now, and will also consult on writing/composing projects. It all looks pretty incestuous to me... Nanci We thought we had all the answers; it was the questions we had wrong. --Bono From: Deirdre [mailto:deirdreanne@yahoo.com] Sent: Monday, August 30, 2004 9:35 AM To: inxs@topica.com Subject: Re: INXS: Re Hoping someone knows something Nanci Lamb Roider wrote: First can i ask, what prompted this?
