INXS will
film a video for their upcoming second single, Everything, tomorrow
in Los Angeles. No news yet on who the director is, but I'm told there
was a sign-up sheet at the LA concert yesterday for fans to attend a special
show tomorrow specifically for the video shoot. And speaking of yesterday's
show, the concert was taped for a future radio broadcast on the Album
Network during the week of May 8 (check local listings).
The video
for Elegantly Wasted has crashed into the Top 10 on Canada's Much
Music at #8, while it maintains the #1 position for a second week on MTV
Latino. In other chart news, the single is #15 on Billboard's Modern Rock
Airplay, #13 on the Adult Top 40, and #27 on the Hot 100 Airplay.
Michael and
Garry hosted M2 today from 1 to 2pm EST (the "sample" hour on MTV) and
they played videos they themselves have chosen. Among the bands shown
were Radiohead, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Soundgarden, Tool,
AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, and James Brown. At 2pm EST, they then proceeded
to host the New Music Hour at VH-1, where they discussed the video and
photo shoots for Elegantly Wasted among other topics.

to appearing on Politically Incorrect last night, was also a guest (along

have been entertaining!

Wasted is currently #11 on the Japanese singles chart. In Australia,
though the single has slipped off the singles chart, it has made a promising
debut on the album chart, coming in at #14.

on the heels of a fantastic gig in Dallas yesterday, returns to NYC for

Important
notice: The .wav file of INXS' live performance of Searching, recorded
at the ARIA Awards in Australia last September, will be available directly
from this site for only one more week. Due to diminishing disc space,
it is going to be moved to the FTP site at uky in one week (the ftp site
currently houses the Elegantly Wasted mp3 clip). As the ftp site can only
accomodate 20 people at any given time (and it's usually full), I suggest
any of you that still want to get the Searching clip to download it NOW.
You can download it by right clicking here: Searching.wav.
For those
attending the sold-out Irving Plaza show in NYC on April 17, a private
reception for INXS to benefit LIFEbeat will be held following the show.
The reception begins at 11:00pm, with cocktails courtesy of Hennessy Martini.
The event is happening at Chaos, located at 23 Watts Street (between Broadway
and Thompson, in Soho). A $10 donation to LIFEbeat is requested. Hope
to see ya all there! :)

more thing, Elegantly Wasted is officially released today!
