INXS Embark On New Zealand Tour
INXS
have announced they will play a series of dates in Australia and New
Zealand next month with special guest Jon Stevens. Stevens performed
two dates with INXS in May, and the results were so successful that
the band has decided to continue experimenting with the
ex-Noiseworks frontman. Ticket information and details are available

There is an INXS fan gathering scheduled
at the Bites 'n
Bytes internet-bistro in Ratingen, Germany (next to Duesseldorf and near
Cologne) on July 22, 2000 starting at 7pm local time. For more

CNN's World Beat Australian special
will
be screened in Australia for the first time on Saturday July 8 at
9.30 am. It will be replayed at 10 pm that night, as well as 10 am
on Sunday July 9 and 11 pm on Tuesday July 11. The one-hour episode
is presented by CNN's Brooke Alexander in Sydney and Brisbane (the
Melbourne interviews were done by a producer) includes interviews
with or performances by INXS, Savage Garden, Killing Heidi, Vanessa
Amorosi, Bardot, Kasey Chambers, Kate Ceberano, Grinspoon,
Powderfinger, the Living End, Human Nature, Taxiride, Regurgitator,
Alex Lloyd and David Bridie. The segment also looks at Australian
dance sector's growing global success (catching up with Madison
Avenue, Groove Terminator, Josh Abrahams) and the indigenous scene,
with performances by Yothu Yindi, Jimmy Little, Warumpi Band, Pigram
Brothers, Charlie McMahon, Christine Anu and the farewell
