Happy Birthday Michael
A happy birthday
to the late Michael Hutchence, who would have turned a stately 42
today. Fan celebrations of the legendary singer will take place on
January 26 in New York at the bar Barramundi, in Sydney at the Hard
Rock Cafe, and in Minnesota at Billabong's.

New INXS Cover
Transmatic (http://www.transmatic1.com/),
a band from Indianapolis who just released their debut album on
Virgin, have been performing a cover of INXS' "Don't Change" at the
end of their shows. As the band's debut single "Come" is steadily
gaining radio play across the US, it may just be a short while

U2 Grammy Nod
Irish rock veterans U2 received a
total of eight Grammy nominations this morning. Among the
nominations is a Record Of The Year nod for "Stuck In A Moment You
Can't Get Of," written in memory of Michael Hutchence. The song was
also nominated for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With
Vocal. Grammy winners will be announced during ceremonies on
February 27 at the Staples Center in Los
Angeles.

Par-T-One Hits North America
The UK smash club hit "I'm So
Crazy" by Par-T-One vs INXS (featuring extensive sampling from the
early INXS hit "Just Keep Walking") will be officially released in
North America on January 8 via Nettwerk Records. The single is now
available for pre-order from Amazon.com.
