California, Here They Come!
As the South and Central American tour has ended, all eyes turn toward California. Though INXS will play in many US western states, they will play a remarkable *seven* dates in California alone. The tour kicks off in Sacramento, and will wind its way all across the US and Canada before it ends in New Jersey.

More From South America
INXS have just completed a successful jaunt through South and Central America, and are now moving on to Southern California to begin the North American leg of their "Just For Kicks 2002" World Tour. Here's some more from the tour.

From Peru, Miguel Helfer writes "...All I could say about the concert would not be enough... It was an incredible and wild night! The guys are amazing and I can still feel the [evening's] power! The set list was the same as in Argentina, and let me tell you, Jon Stevens is wonderful! Hey guys in the States, do not miss this show!"

From Argentina comes a report by Eduardo Bujía: "With the first strains of 'Never Tear Us Apart,' an excellent new version, to Andrew's harmonies on 'By My Side'... Michael was there, by his and our side... the emotion invading us... so that we were one soul jumping, screaming, and losing all the ire since November 1997... It was a very personal show, perhaps because of the place or the years gone by... We jumped, sang, and enjoyed all of it... for most of us, the most emotional show of our lives. Maybe they'll record a new album, maybe they'll come back again... It was a perfect show, there's no doubt..."

INXSweb.com will bring you the full media wrap-up (newspaper reviews, etc) as well as some exclusive photographs from the tour in the weeks ahead.

INXS Hit South America
INXS have kicked off their 2000 international tour in grand style in South America.

The opening show for the tour was at the ATL Hall in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Claudia Cunha, a fan lucky enough to attend the show, wrote inxsweb.com an enthusiastic review. "There I was at ATL Hall in the front row... It started an hour late and wasn't really crowded so the show was 'cozy.' Andrew came on stage first... Jon Stevens looked diferent, his hair is longer, his voice is beautiful and it reminds me of Michael. His affection is amazing and it shows how much he likes singing the songs. Jon Farris looked really excited to be back on tour and threw several [drum] sticks into the crowd ( I didnīt get any). The setlist was basically the greatest hits album plus my favorites: 'Not Enough Time,' 'Kick,' 'The Stairs,' and two new ones. When they played 'Never Tear Us Apart,' the screen behind them showed a smiling Michael Hutchence; almost everybody (including me) started crying. Thank you, INXS, for coming to Rio. I hope you had as great a time as I did."

Last night, the band played at the Luna Park Amphitheatre in Buenos Aires, Argentia. Adrian wrote about his experience and included the set list (included below). "The show was GREAT, perfect!! I was in the first row, next to Tim and Jon Stevens. The show started with the intro to 'Precious Heart' and then Andrew began by singing 'By My Side.' From that moment till the show closer 'Don't Change,' everything was perfect, including two new songs, 'Sugar' and 'Hungry.' Jon Stevens' performance was brilliant, and the whole band is better than ever."

Here's the set list: Intro - Precious Heart, By My Side (first verse Andrew Farris on lead vocals), New Sensation, Listen Like Thieves, Original Sin, Sugar, Not Enough Time, Mystify, Disappear, Shine Like It Does (Kirk Pengilly on lead vocals), Beautiful Girl, Never Tear Us Apart, Time, Taste It, Need You Tonight / Mediate, Bitter Tears, Kick, Devil Inside, ENCORE The Stairs, Hungry, What You Need, Suicide Blonde, The Loved One, and Don't Change.
